Certain skills can help you through a season of grief.  In her book, Healing through the Dark Emotions: The Wisdom of Grief, Fear, and Despair,  Miriam Greenspan, a psychotherapist, writer and speaker, talks about three skills that can help you with the many emotions of grief :

  • Attending: Learning to Listen
  • Befriending: You Have to Feel It if You Want to Heal It
  • Surrendering: To Let It Go, You Have to Let It Flow

I’ll talk more about these skills in the weeks ahead.
