I’ve had the honor of companioning people on their grief journeys at this time of year and have found some helpful tips for navigating the holiday season:

  • Have a plan.
  • Keep it simple.
  • Lower your expectations.
  • Honor your loved one.
  • Get support from family, friends, clergy, mental health counselors, grief companions, etc.
