Obituary of Molly Lou Hahn

Lou Hahn, 87, a resident of State College since 1996, died on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at her residence. Born January 3, 1928, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late R. Walker and Elmina Walsh Robb. On September 19, 1953 she married Fred K. Hahn, who preceded her in death on December 17, 1991. She is survived by three children, Fritz Hahn with Nancy, of Pittsburgh, Barbara H. Saxton with her husband, Bill, of State College and Scott Hahn with his wife, Kimberly, of Steubenville, OH; one brother, Walker Robb of Bloomington, IL; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Kiel. Lou was a 1945 graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School. In 1949 she received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Lou was also a member of the PEO Chapter S, Delta Gamma Sorority and Centre Pieces Quilt Guild. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10 a.m., on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the new Calvary Baptist Church, 1100 East Boal Avenue, Boalsburg. Funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the church with the Reverend Dan Nold officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coalition for Christian Outreach (Lou Hahn fund), 5912 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206 or to the Home Nursing Agency, 450 Windmere Dr. #100, State College, PA 16801.
