Ruth H. Carter of Bellefonte died on November 1, 2016 at Juniper Village at Brookline after a long battle with dementia. Born September 8, 1934 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Adeline and Sterling Causby. Ruth married James M. Carter on August 18, 1952, who preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death were her brothers Palmer Causby and Forrest Causby. Ruth was raised in Philadelphia and subsequently resided in Delaware County before retiring to Bellefonte, PA in 2001. There she enjoyed attending church, bowling, and soaking in the view from both of her porches. She was an excellent seamstress who also knitted, crocheted and baked. Ruth enjoyed the many cats and dogs that shared her home over the years. She attended her grandchildren’s sporting events and other activities. Ruth loved to listen to the piano, reading her newspaper, eating a bowl of ice cream every night and chocolate at anytime. She traveled many places around the world but was always glad to come home. Now she is permanently home in the arms of Jesus. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Koberna and the nurses and staff at Juniper Village who cared for Ruth in her final years.
