Obituary of Edward Ronald Bogus

Edward Ronald "Ron" Bogus, 76, of State College, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC.

Born February 23, 1941, in Spangler, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Eva Dercotch Bogus. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Messmer Bogus of State College.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Jeffrey Bogus and his wife Tracie of Centre Hall and David Bogus and his wife Molly of Alexandria VA, and one daughter Joyce Bogus and her husband Brian Eng of Franklin Lakes NJ; two sisters; Donna Soisson and her husband Ray of Middletown DE and Darlene Palmer and her husband Ray of Indiana. Edward is also survived by seven grandchildren Andrew, Megan, Grace, and Matthew Bogus, Shannon, and Whitney McGuire, and Sebastian Eng.

Edward graduated from John Caroll High School in Carrolltown. He then received his Bachelor's degree at University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Biology. He later started his journey working at Penn State University as a research associate. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory church.

Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton St, State College, PA 16801 on Thursday July 20, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Koch Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
