Obituary of Evelyn E Dabiero

Evelyn E. Dabiero, 87, of State College, loving mother, devoted wife, and friend to many, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home. Born January 20, 1930 in Monessen, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose Nudo DeLuca. On July 21, 1951, in Monessen, she married Carmen Dabiero, who preceded her in death on December 13, 1984. A caring homemaker for most of her life, she was employed by the Pennsylvania State University for ten years where she was known as "Mom" to hundreds of students she befriended over those years. She is survived by four children, Carmel Kinsley, of New Hope, Michael A. Dabiero and his wife, Joella, of State College, Ernest Dabiero and his wife, Beth, of State College, and Carmen Dabiero and his wife, Sandy, of Lexington, Kentucky; twin sister, Louise Ghinassi of Monessen; eight grandchildren, C.J, Michelle, Lauren, and Matthew Dabiero, Brianne Kaufman, Rachel Thomas, and Danny and Nicholas Kinsley. Evelyn was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Services will be private with Father Antony Sudherson officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
