Obituary of R. Marjorie Endara

R. Marjorie Endara, 89, of State College, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born June 7, 1928, in Tipton, she was the daughter of the late Rolley and Ruby Taylor Miller. On June 6, 1964 she married Raul Marcelo Endara, M.D., who preceded her in death on September 21, 2016. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Saona and her husband, Jaime J., of Centre Hall; three grandchildren, Carolina Saona, Jaime M. Saona and his wife, Megan and Cristina Saona. Marjorie was a 1946 graduate of Bellwood Antis High School. She received a Bachelor's degree from Nyack College, New York. She was a Real Estate Agent for 32 years in Centre County and worked for Kissinger, Bigatel and Brower for the majority of that time. Upon graduating from Nyack College, she attended a language institute in Costa Rica to learn Spanish. She later joined the mission field through the Christian Missionary Alliance and moved to Ecuador where she met her true love Raul Marcelo. In Ecuador, she owned and operated many businesses including a hotel, food services for athletic facilities and schools, and baked goods for bakeries. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, in State College and led a Bible Study Group in her home. Marjorie enjoyed baking and was famous for her delicious pies. Visitation will be 12 until 2 p.m., on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., at the funeral home with the Reverend Aaron Henning officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
