Obituary of Helen Nero Ciletti

Helen Nero Ciletti, 92, of State College, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Juniper Village.

 

Born May 19, 1925, in Philadelphia, PA. She was a daughter of the late Michael and Antonietta Ricciuti Nero. On September 1, 1946, she married Frederick M. Ciletti, also of Philadelphia, who preceded her in death on December 1, 1989.

 

She was a 1943 graduate of Little Flower Catholic High School.

 

Helen, Fred and family, lived in Pottsville, PA for 17 years before moving to State College, PA in 1969.

 

She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and longtime volunteer at Our Lady of Victory Preschool, where the children referred to her as "Miss Helen."

 

She is survived by her children, Elena D. Ciletti, and her husband, James Crenner, of Geneva, NY, Frederick N. Ciletti and his wife, Lisa Taylor, of Beaufort, SC, J. Mark Ciletti and his wife, Karen, of State College, PA, and Donna C. Romeo and her husband, Carmen, of Miami Beach, FL; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, with the Rev. Neil Dadey officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

 

Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park in State College

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Frederick M. and Helen N. Ciletti Scholarship Fund (Schuylkill Campus), The Pennsylvania State University, 200 University Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
