Obituary of Katheryn Alexander

Deaconess Katheryn Alexander went home to be with Jesus on April 2, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg. Katheryn was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. She was a blessing to our community with her warm smile and big heart. She was a true pillar of love to all. She will be missed greatly. She was a member of the Tabernacle Church of God and Christ, Mount Union, PA. Katheryn was the President of YPWW (Young People Willing Workers) and also President of the Hospitality Committee. She was the Crown Queen of the District in 2016. Katheryn is survived by her children; daughter, Patricia Kirby of Erial, NJ and her husband, Minister Harry Kirby; one son William of Altoona, PA; daughter Mary Alexander of State College; One Sister, Ella Mae Coleman of Hartford, Connecticut; Three grandsons, Gregory Rogers Jr., Marvin Rogers, and Michael Krawec. She was a great grandmother to Andre Rogers, Hailey Rogers, Amya Kopp, Avery Rogers, Aubrey Rogers, Najae Rogers, Ariauna Young, and DaeVonn Rogers. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda K. Alexander. Friends may be received from 9-10am, on Saturday, April 7, 2018. The funeral service will be from 10am-12pm, on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Service will be officiated by Elder Wilson Mosley. Both the visitation and service will be held at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street; State College, PA 16801.
