Obituary of Aimee N. Lessman

Aimee N. Lessman, 42, of State College, passed away at her home on March 10, 2015. Aimee was the cherished daughter of Deana Musso and Terry Lessman who were both at her side when she passed. Aimee is the proud parent of Evan M. Lessman, 8, who will be happily taken care of by his grandparents Deana and Tony Musso in State College. In addition to her parents, Deana and Terry, and her precious son whom she adored and loved “To the Moon and back”, she is survived by her brother Matthew of Stormstown, his wife Michelle, nephew Trevor and niece Katie in addition to her many cousins, aunts and uncles. Aimee attended Penn State University taking classes in Art Education, the Graphic Arts and Visual Arts. Aimee’s desire to be creative called her to become a Cosmetologist. With her partner Denise Karchner, they opened Cherry Lane Salon in State College more than 10 years ago. Aimee had many caring friends who supported her during the good times and the very difficult times, Aimee's family is forever grateful for their love and support. Aimee's life and world revolved around her son Evan. Her many varied interests included trips with her mom and son Evan yearly to the Lancaster area to visit the Strasburg Railroad and enjoyed the many times they saw and rode Evan's favorite, "Thomas the Train." Her family was of the utmost importance to her as Aimee and Evan vacationed yearly at the beach with her dad, brother, niece, and nephew. Her favorite times were spent visiting Disney World with her son Evan. What will be missed perhaps the most by many and especially her family and closest friends is her sense of humor, the way she made us laugh! She loved to quote a movie line and see your response to what movie it was from. She had an uncanny memory and was an avid movie watcher. Her love for movies was only surpassed by her love for music, books, and the arts, which were as varied and eclectic as she was. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Koch funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College, PA from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm. at the funeral home, with Reverend Ann Graves officiating. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Evan Lessman Trust, Attn: Amy Baker, National Penn Bank, 1300 North Atherton Street, State College, PA 16803.
