A favorite story regarding Shifting Your Connection involves a woman I knew who lost her husband of many years. She was a strong, faith-filled woman who looked for light in as many places as she could on her grief journey. One time at a support gathering she shared that to keep her company, her grandchildren had given her a big teddy bear. She placed this stuffed animal in her living area and spoke to it as if it was her husband, sharing about her day. Upon hearing this story, my smile was joined by many others in the circle as we experienced the comfort she found in Shifting the Connection with her husband. We often asked her to share this story with newcomers who joined our gathering.
