Happy Labor Day! This day was created to recognize and honor the many ways workers have helped with the well-being of our country. I so appreciate national holidays - with the government’s “permission,” many businesses close and friends and family come together to honor someone or something. Without this “permission,” I doubt as many people would participate.

This speaks to the work we do in helping families honor loved ones who have died. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons, some people don’t feel like they have “permission” to take off of work, come together and memorialize. I’m here to say that humans have been caring for their dead for tens of thousands of years – you do have “permission.” And if you do this caring and memorializing in a meaningful way, studies have shown that it helps you on your healing journey. I’ve witnessed this with many.

Please join us at our Living Fully Now and/or Live, Love, Learn and Leave a Legacy programs to learn more about having “permission” while making the most of the life you have now! Details can be found on our Monday's Moments Gatherings & Events page.
