As I’ve described over the last four weeks, the 4-3-2-1 on Hope, Healing and Wholeness begins with the 4 C’s.  Next we have the 3 Skills.  I shared a little about these in June and July.  To review, these three skills can help you with the many emotions of grief :

  • Attending: Learning to Listen
  • Befriending: You Have to Feel It if You Want to Heal It
  • Surrendering: To Let It Go, You Have to Let It Flow

"I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season, how without grief (it seems) they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep.... Imitate the trees. Learn to lose in order to recover, and remember that nothing stays the same for long, not even pain, psychic pain. Sit it out. Let it all pass.
