Today is the winter solstice and the longest night of the year. In conjunction with this month’s theme, what meaning can we search for in this darkness? Imagine we are outside tonight, what do we do? Because we can’t see where we’re going, we probably reorient ourselves, move slowly, use our own lights to brighten the way, hold on to one another, utilize different senses to help navigate and expect the sun to eventually rise. We can do all of these same things when grieving and these things can help us find meaning
