Walter Earl "Skip" Browne, Jr., 65, of State College, died Monday, March 21, 2022, at home.
Born August 24, 1956, in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Walter Earl Browne, Sr. and Mae Eck Browne. On March 12, 2020 he married Alvin Ray Hall, Jr., who survives.
In addition to his husband, Skip is survived by three sisters, Susan Maples of Texas, Bonnie Martin and her husband Jerry of Axemann, and Connie Stahlman and her husband Barry "Pete" of Bellefonte. He was preceded in death by four brothers, David "Bud", Gary, and John Yoder, and Don Browne.
Skip graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1976. He worked as a custodian for Penn State University.
He enjoyed music and gardening.
Visitation will be 10 am-12 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 12 pm with Mike Hulson officiating.
Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Bellefonte.
