Belinda Sue Bracken, age 60 of Julian, left our world to be with the Great Spirit on Tuesday June 28th. Born on July 30th, 1961, Belinda was the daughter of Marvin Robinson and Nancy (Lee) Stover. She is survived by both parents, as well as her husband Barry, eldest son Will of Port Matilda, youngest son Lucas (Haley) of Versailles, KY, and two grandchildren- grandson Logan Bracken and granddaughter Parker Bracken. Also surviving are brothers Lee Stover (Carissa) of Port Matilda and Clint Robinson. As a graduate of the Bellefonte High School class of 1979, Belinda was a distinguished student, earning the title of Valedictorian. She went on to attend Biscayne Paramedical Institute in Miami, FL. Bindy and Barry were married on May 17, 1986 and built a life together for the next 36 years. She lived for Bear, Will, and Luke, putting up with many shenanigans along the way, but always with unconditional love and support. She had a great passion for helping others, especially children, which came primarily through her many years working at Port Matilda Elementary School and being heavily involved in 4-H, FFA, and the Grange Fair. In addition, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Port Matilda Grange. Through her work with the school, Jr. Livestock Association, and other organizations, she touched the lives of countless people over the years. She was a skilled craftswoman, spending much of her free time sewing, knitting, crocheting, or creating unique gifts for others, including 55 of her signature baby blankets. Affectionately referred to by her sons as "Four feet of fury", anyone close to Bindy knew that she was a small, but mighty woman. No obstacle or situation was too great for her to take on. Visitation will be on Tuesday July 5th, from 5-7, at Koch Funeral Home in State College. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday July 6th at 10:30, at Gatesburg Lutheran Church.
