Alice Louise Moyer Wedlake 88, of Pennsylvania Furnace passed away the morning of January 12, 2013, after a long battle with dementia. She died peacefully at the Beatitudes Campus of Care in Phoenix, Arizona. "Sweet" Alice was born May 24, 1924 in Jersey Shore the daughter of the late Stearl and Jennie Bartges Moyer. On December 25, 1954 she married Charles H. Wedlake who preceded her in death on January 1, 2011 after 56 year of marriage. They resided in Pennsylvania Furnace for 44 years. She is survived by her 3 sons, Dan and his wife Theresa of State College, Tim and his wife Debra of Phoenix, AZ and David and his wife Kathy of Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Also surviving are her sister, Jean Moyer Taras and her husband Mike of Salem, SC and her brother, Sterling Moyer and his wife Dallas of Easley, SC. Alice graduated from State College Area High School, Class of 1942, and was a homemaker. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College on Friday January 18, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Koch Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Louder officiating.
