Obituary of James E. Addleman Jr

James E. Addleman, Jr., 62, of Millheim, formerly of Boalsburg, died Friday, May 22, 2015, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born on March 1, 1953, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late James E. and Eleanor Casselberry Addleman. He is survived by one son, J. Andrew “Jamie” Addleman and his wife, Ashley, of Coburn; three sisters, Nancy C. Horner, Susan A. Renaud, both of Bellefonte, Mitzi Lou Lennartz and her husband, Frank, of Bloomsburg; one brother, Terry E. Addleman and his wife, Kathy, of Boalsburg; one granddaughter, Alexus Roxie Addleman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, E. Roxie Strickland. James was a 1971 graduate of State College Area High School. He was employed by R. W. Bird Trucking in Pleasant Gap and Ward Trucking in Altoona as a truck driver. He retired in 2010. James was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg. He was a past president and line officer for the Boalsburg Fire Company. He was a driver and EMT for Alpha Ambulance and was an avid archery hunter. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 305 North Church Street, Boalsburg. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church, with the Reverend Brent Book officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boalsburg Fire Company, PO Box 540, Boalsburg, PA 16827 or to the Zion Lutheran Church, 305 North Church Street, Boalsburg, PA 16827.
