Obituary of Barbara Frances Simmons

Barbara Frances (Soule) Simmons, 90, of State College, formerly of Parkertown, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at White Cedars Memorial Park, 1401 Main St. Manahawkin, NJ. Mrs. Simmons was born in Newark, NJ. The daughter of the late Fredrick and Catherine Soule. Mrs. Simmons was the wife of the late Harry D. Simmons. She was a long time employee of J G Tilpin Union, NJ, before moving to Tuckerton, NJ, working as a bookkeeper and Office Manager. In her retirement years she helped run an antique business with three other friends and loved going to yard and estate sales to find treasures. Mrs. Simmons is survived by her three children, Gary Zarillo, Donald Zarillo and Catherine Zarillo. She also is survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. Predeceased by her brother, Fredrick Soule. She was a wonderful friend to many, a great listener and supporter to those friends. She loved to travel with family and her husband, she went to many of his Navy reunions. She loved her dogs, her loving companions.
