Obituary of Nancy Lee McMullen

Nancy Lee McMullen, 71, of State College, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born November 29, 1946, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late William Elsworth and Betty Jane Rossman Rosenberry. On April 2, 1966 she married Charles W. McMullen, who survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer B. Deutsch and her husband, Kurt and Michelle L. McMullen, all of State College; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Garnett and her husband, Thomas, Kimberlee Deutsch, Joshua Deutsch and his wife, Jamie, Matthew Deutsch, Jakob Deutsch and Cassandra McMullen; one great-granddaughter, Reagan Deutsch. Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Chief Logan High School where she played flute and piccolo in the high school band. She was also a graduate of the Thompson Institute for training as a Medical Secretary. She was employed as a Secretary in the Agricultural Department in the Forestry Building at Penn State University. Nancy was a 45 year member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Grove Mills, where she also sang in the choir and played piano. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College and 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 277 West Pine Grove Road, Pine Grove Mills. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m., at the church with the Pastor Paul Tomkiel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Habitat for Humanity, 1155 Zion Rd, Bellefonte, PA 16823. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
