Obituary of Arthur John Dangel, Jr.

Arthur John "Art" Dangel, Jr., 56, of State College, died Thursday, December 21, 2017, unexpectedly at home.

 

Born June 25, 1961, in Clementon, NJ, he was the son of Arthur John and the late Carmela Liberatti Dangel. On December 31, 1991, he married Tina E. Doriguzzi, who survives.

 

In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by a son, Arthur John "AJ" Dangel III; two sisters, Joann Henry and her husband, George, of The Villages, FL and Maria Milliken and her husband Bill, of Clementon, NJ.

He was a 1979 graduate of Central High School. He received a Bachelor's of Arts in Advertising from Penn State University in 1983 and a Master's in Business Administration from Penn State University in 1987.

Arthur was employed as the Vice President and Wealth Advisor for AmeriServ. Prior to that he was the Senior Vice President and Director of Trust Services for Kish Bank and a Wealth Advisor for First National Bank.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Center County United Way, the Center County Natural Gas Task Force, the Center County Office of Aging, the Centre County Super Fair Committee and the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County.

Arthur enjoyed watching Philly sports such as the Eagles and Flyers, debating with friends, playing Gin with his wife and golfing with his son and friends.

A Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., on Saturday, January 6, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner Street, State College, with the Reverend Scott Schul officiating.
