Obituary of Robert Troup

Robert LaVern "Rob" Troup, 56, of Warriors Mark, died Sunday, February 18, 2018, at home.

Born January 12, 1962, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late LaVern Troup and Jeanette Shimel Troup, who survives in State College. On August 8, 1998, at home in the back yard, he married Heidi Marie Clouser, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Scotti Moore and her husband, Ryan, of Port Matilda and Chloe Troup of Warriors Mark; two sisters, Amy Troup and her children, Lindsay, Jason Troup and his wife, Tana, all of State College, Jennifer Borger of Harveys Lake and her children, Kristin, Trevor, Cassidy, Trey, Iggy, Javon and Austin Borger all of Harveys Lake, except for Kristin who resides in Waldorf, MD; two grandchildren, Lincoln and Hadley Moore of Port Matilda; father and mother in-law, Glenn and Dorothy Clouser of State College, sister in-law, Holly Ishler and her husband, Allen, and their children, Christopher and Heather Ishler, of Spring Mills; and brother in-law, Glenn Clouser II, and his wife, Erin, of Spring Mills. In addition to his father who preceded him in death on February 9, 2003, he was preceded in death by his brother in-law, Terry Borger on September 30, 2016.

He was a 1980 graduate of State College High School. He received a technical degree in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning from a technical school in the Pittsburgh area.

Rob was employed as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician at Penn State University. Prior to that he was employed at Phoenix Engineering of Pleasant Gap.

He was a member of the Teamsters Local.

Rob enjoyed going to the beach with his family, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was very handy and could fix everything. Rob had a heart of gold and was always helping others.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA with Rev. Charles Niedermyer officiating.

Burial will be in Grays Cemetery.
