Obituary of David W. Gibson

David "Dube" W. Gibson, II, 51, of Pine Grove Mills, died Friday, September 28, 2018, at home after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

Born February 8, 1967, in Bellefonte, he was the son of David W. and Ann M. McCloskey Gibson. On April 5, 1997 in Centre Hall, Dave married Jennie Katherine Bloom.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jennie; son, Nicholas A. Gibson of Pine Grove Mills; daughter, Gracey J. Gibson of Pine Grove Mills; father, David W. Gibson of Boalsburg; brother, Jeff Gibson of Petersburg; niece, Makenna Gibson of Petersburg; brother-in-law, Thomas Bloom and his wife, Emily, of Centre Hall; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Jean Bloom of Potters Mills; close family friends, John and Joni Arrington; and his dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann M. Gibson, and his sister, Lisa Gibson.

Dave graduated from Juniata Valley High School in 1984. He was a process engineer for FCI in Mt. Union from 1996 until 2013. He then began working as a project manager for Penn United in Butler County.

Dave loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He especially loved hunting on the Valley Wide Farm in Spring Mills. Dave also enjoyed fishing, metal working, and trips to the beach with his family. His biggest pride and joy were Nick and Gracey.

Services will be private.
