Obituary of Randall Putt

Randall K. "Randy" Putt, 56, of State College, died Friday, September 23, 2011, at The Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born October 10, 1954, in Philipsburg, he was a son of Homer and Beverly Ross Putt of Berrysburg. On May 2, 1992, he married Kathryn Rudy, who survives. He is also survived by two children, Daniel K. Putt of North Carolina, and Amanda K. Botsford and her husband, Adam, of Kittanning. Randy was a 1972 graduate of State College Area High School, and he served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner/operator of Putt Refrigeration and Heating and of Putt Crane Service. He was a Methodist by faith. Randy was a member of the State College American Legion and the Bellefonte Elks. He loved being social and being with family and friends. He loved road trips, flea markets, auctions, and running his crane. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Blanco officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Randall K. Putt Memorial Fund, c/o Kish Bank, 1961 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801.
