Obituary of Joel H. Pighetti

Joel H. Pighetti, 60, of State College, died Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. Born February 24, 1958, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harold Pighetti and Joan Henninger Henney, who survives in Pine Grove Mills. On May 21, 1988 he married Karin Mintz, who survives. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three sons, Cyle H. Pighetti and Connor M. Pighetti, both of State College; and Christopher D. Hampton of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Jeff Pighetti and his wife, Dianne, of Pine Grove Mills. He was pre-deceased by his step- father, Lee Henney. He was a 1976 graduate of State College High School. He received a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Penn State University in 1981. He was a member of Theta Chi fraternity He owned and operated Homestead Maintenance for the past 33 years In keeping with Joel's wishes, services will be private at the convenience of the family.
