Obituary of Nikolay V. Moroz

Nikolay V. Moroz, 92, of Boalsburg, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born April 17, 1927, in Sharovka, Ukraine, he was the son of the late Vasiliy and Maria Moroz. On October 23, 1960 he married Aleksandra Subota, who preceded him in death on February 19, 2007. He is survived by two children, Aleksandra Moroz and his wife, Natalya and Svetlana Kovalev and her husband, Timofey, all of Pleasant Gap; one sister who resides in Ukraine; eight grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Nikolay served in the USSR Army during WWII. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver for over twenty five years. He was a member of the Russian Baptist Church where he was also served as a Pastor. Nikolay was very passionate about gardening, he loved it. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Russian Baptist Church, 3645 W. College Ave., State College. Funeral service will follow at 11a.m., at the church with the Reverend Gregory Kronin officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
