Obituary of Colombo Palazzari

Colombo Joseph, "Cal" Palazzari, 82 of State College, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Centre. He was born April 19, 1929 in Jessup, PA the son of the late Alfonso and Virginia Belardi Palazzari. On April 19, 1952 he married the former Santina Mazza who survives in State College. He is also survived by one daughter and three sons; Ginny Glickman (David), Greg Palazzari and Mario Palazzari all of State College and Chris Palazzari (Kelly) of Lebanon, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren Chase Glickman, Cole, Mara, and Vance Palazzari. Three sisters also survive, Laura Migliaccio (Francis), Diane Weston (Robert) and Susan Sweeney all of Jessup, PA. Cal graduated from Jessup High School in and became a veteran of the US Army. He attended Barbizon Barber School in Scranton, PA and worked as a Barber/Stylist for 55 years before retiring from Fetteroff's Barber Shop in 2009. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and a member of Knights of Columbus. Cal enjoyed gardening, woodworking, bowling, dancing, physical fitness and outdoor activities. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 6pm until 9 p.m. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Matthew Baum officiating.
