Obituary of Margaret Stefanko

Margaret Bokach Stefanko, 86, of State College, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Fairways at Brookline Village, State College. Born July 14, 1925, in Denbo, she was a daughter of the late Michael Bokach and Anna Bokach Strizak. She married Robert Stefanko, who died July 25, 1981. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Day and her husband, Michael, of Hagerstown, MD, and her sister, Irene S. Pollock of Willoughby, OH. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Melissa Harms and her husband, Craig, of New Castle, DE and Dr. Kathryn Gloyer of State College and two great-grandsons, Tyler and Ryan Harms of New Castle, DE. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and one great great niece. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Peter Bokach, three sisters, infant Anna Bokach, Mary Lozak, and Helen Bokach, stepfather, Andrew Strizak, and a nephew, Dr. John Lozak. She was a graduate of the German Township High School class of 1943 in McCellandtown. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, the Friendship Sunday School class and the Sunshine Circle. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eric Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
