Obituary of Barbara Marie Stahl

Barbara Marie Stahl, 95, of State College, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021, at Wynwood House, Boalsburg.

Born July 15, 1925, in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin Morrison and Bertha Pearl Williams Morrison. On August 14, 1948 she married C. Drew Stahl, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2001.

She is survived by a son, Kevin Stahl and his wife Kileen of State College; and one granddaughter, Emily K. Stahl.

Barbara earned a bachelor's degree in Commerce and Finance from Penn State University in 1947. She was a lifelong member of her college sorority Phi Kappa Delta, and hosted annual dinners for the chapter members.

In her free time, she could be found playing the golf courses of Centre Hills Country Club or enjoying a nice meal with her close friends. She was a lifelong Penn State football fan who made sure to keep up on every game.

She was also a devoted member of Mount Nittany United Methodist Church.

Barbara was a proud woman, dedicated mother and wife, loving grandmother, and a loyal friend who will be remembered and missed by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mount Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 E. Branch Road, State College with Pastor Chris Passante officiating.

Burial will be held privately in Centre County Memorial Park.
