Obituary of Jerene S. Foltz

Jerene S. Foltz, 93, of Pine Grove Mills passed away on Monday, May 30, 2021 at Wynwood Assisted Living in Boalsburg. Jerene was born in Richfield on March 10, 1928 to the late Floyd and Mildred Snyder Willow. On November 3, 1945 she married Wayne K. Foltz, who passed away on January 28, 1996. Jerene is survived by two sons, Robert E. Foltz and his wife Georgia of Duncannon, and Garry L. Foltz and his wife Catherine of New Milford; five grandchildren, Jennifer Potter and her husband Jeremy, Garry L. Foltz Jr. and his wife Trina, Elisa Foltz, James Foltz, Angela Chamberlain and her husband Oliver; and nine great grandchildren, Austin and Alex Potter, Kyle and Camryn Foltz, and Chase, Oliver, Jasmine, Olivia, and Kaylee Chamberlain. Jerene is also survived by a sister, Elsie Witmer of Harrisburg; and a brother, Donald Willow and his wife Judy of Hershey. She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Willow. Jerene was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Pine Grove Mills and worked as a Sales clerk for "F. W. Woolworth Co." in State College and retired from "Hills Dept. Store" in 1996. She was a past Grand Counselor of The Ladies Auxiliary of the United Commercial Travelers and a past Senior Counselor of the United Commercial Travelers. She was also a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5825, Pine Grove Mills and a 25 Year Club Member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary Post 245 in State College. Jerene was also a member of The American Folk Music Association, the Boalsburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Shavers Creek Community Association of Huntingdon. Jerene was a lucky Bingo player and enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting, travel and making new friends. She will always be loved and missed. A private funeral service officiated by Pastor Carl Campbell will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021 with interment in the Richfield Cemetery, Richfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Box 241, Pine Grove Mills, PA, 16868. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
