Obituary of Susan Phyllis Omeis

Susan Phyllis Omeis, 67, of Bellefonte passed away unexpectedly at Hershey Hospital after a short illness. Born October 9, 1953 in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Paul and Estelle Trebon Borman. In Pittsburgh on March 17,1972, she married Anthony H. Omeis, who survives. They were married for 49 years.

In addition to her husband, Sue is survived by two daughters, Tesha of State College and Tawnie and her husband Jesse Irvin of Sparks, MD. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Paul Borman.

Sue devoted her entire life to family and home. She was most proud of her family. Kindness, compassion, understanding, acceptance and forgiveness are the essence of her soul. Among her highly accomplished interests were beading, stained glass, crafting jewelry and sewing. Gardening, traveling, kayaking, fishing and walking in the woods were favorite pastimes. Sue loved her home, and enjoyed sharing and displaying collections and beautiful crafts she created. She served many years as a Teller at Penn State Federal Credit Union. Sue enjoyed assisting and helping people. She cared deeply for the many members that she served. Strong personal relationships were developed over the many years.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to charities or organizations that promote family well-being would be appropriate.
