Obituary of Mildred Bentz

Mildred "Millie"A. Bentz, 97, of State College, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Foxdale Village, Anthony House, State College. Born July 19, 1914 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary M. Hahn Weaver. She married William J. Bentz on March 23, 1933 who preceded her in death on March 29, 1991. She is survived by three children, Joseph Bentz and his companion, Joan Zitomer, of Madison, CT; Patricia Glatz and her husband, Ronald, of Bonita Springs, FL; and Mary Hershey and her husband, Robert, of State College. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren: Benjamin, Zachary and Matthew Hershey; Guy Glatz; Wendy Nones; Joseph, Mark, Carol, David, Thomas, Stephen, and Paul Bentz; and Lora Specht. Millie is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Millie was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College. She was an active participant at the Centre Region Senior Center and a longtime resident at Foxdale Village. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 2, 2012 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church with the Monsignor David Lockard officiating. Friends will be received at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church activities center on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Deltona Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Deltona, Florida at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801 or Foxdale Village Givers of Care Fund at 500 E. Marylyn Avenue, State College, PA 16801. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College. Online condolences may be made at www.kochfuneralhome.com.
