Obituary of Kim J. Baird

Kim J. Baird, 61, of Pittsburgh, died Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Indian Lake, PA.

Born October 11, 1959, in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helene "Bunny" Schollenberger. On May 7, 1988, she married James N. Baird, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Kim is survived by her two sons, Matthew Baird of Boston, MA, and Shawn Baird of Columbus, OH, and two step-daughters, Jennifer Sheffield and her husband Galen of Huntingdon, and Tracey Peterson and her husband Stephen of State College; four sisters, Carol Neufer and her husband Eric of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy Gimbel of Huntingdon Valley, Karen Schollenberger of Central Valley, and Susan Pettengill and her husband John of State College; four grandchildren, Casey, Ryder, Skylar and Logan; and her beloved dog Tucker.

Kim graduated from State College Area High School in 1977. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown in Finance and Accounting in 1981. She worked as an Accountant for PPG Industries in Lexington, NC, Shelby, NC, and Tipton, PA; and at Kemet Electronics in Shelby, NC.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Spence Garvin officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
