Obituary of Joseph Szymon Januszkiewicz

Joseph Szymon Januszkiewicz, 62, of State College, died Monday, January 2, 2022, at home. Born in Franklin, on August 27, 1959, he was the son of Joseph and the late Josephine (Alexander) Januszkiewicz. Joseph graduated high school with vocational training in baking in Akron, Ohio, relocating to State College afterwards. He is fondly remembered for his oversized cookies and friendly smile. In addition to baking, he loved music, drawing, his cats, and reading the Bible. He avidly collected classic vinyl and shared mix tapes and CDs of his favorite artists. Known affectionately as "Joey", he used his artistic talents to create humorous caricatures for his friends and family. He was also an animal lover and adored the many cats he had throughout his life. He is survived by his father, six siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
