Obituary of Louise F. Petruzzi

Louise F. Petruzzi, 88, of State College, died Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Centre Care.

Born March 28, 1933, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Annunziata Fedele Petruzzi.  

She is survived by five sons, Vincent N. Argiro and his wife, Dana, of Hickory, NC, Anthony L. Argiro of Waldorf, MD, Nicholas Argiro of State College, Mark J. Argiro and his wife, Karrie, of State College and David A. Argiro of Los Angeles; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and numerous devoted nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Vincent N. Argiro, Sr., who preceded her in death four years earlier to the day; her daughter, Maria Nancy Workman, and four siblings, Sofia Bursick, Mary Cook, Otello Petruzzi, and Lena Haney.

Louise attended high school in Pittsburgh and received her associate degree from South Hills Business school. She worked as an administrative assistant for Supelco, a sales associate for Bon Ton, and enjoyed working part time at Meyer Dairy.

She attended church at Houserville United Methodist Church and, more recently, Mount Nittany United Methodist Church. Louise was an avid Bingo player and a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. One way she displayed her love for others was through her wonderful cooking.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 4-7pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA 16801.

Funeral will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11am with Pastor Greg Shipe officiating.

Burial will be in Houserville Cemetery.
