Obituary of Rebecca M. Dreibelbis

Rebecca M. Dreibelbis, 93, of State College, died Monday, March 7, 2022, at home.

Born September 6, 1928, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Myra Young Regel. On March 30, 1949 she married William G. Dreibelbis, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1996.

She is survived by one daughter, Susan K. Foster and her husband Ray "Snook" of Pine Grove Mills; four sons, William and his wife Susy of Carlisle, Steve and Craig, both of State College, and Scott and his wife Susan of Port Matilda; one brother, Robert Regal and his wife Connie of Pleasant Gap; three sisters, Martha Dreibelbis of State College, Patricia Gentzel, and Charlotte Hartley and her husband Paul, all of Bellefonte; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Regal.

Rebecca graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1946. She worked as an accounting clerk for the Bursar's Office at Penn State University for 24 years before retiring in 1992.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Memorial service will be 11 am, Friday, March 11, 2022 at the funeral home with Celebrant Jackie Naginey Hook officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
