Obituary of Ella Schmandt Bierlein
"In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:2-3

She worked as a registered nurse at many hospitals and retired from Tyrone Hospital in the early 90's. She and Del were founding members of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church, State College. Ella also enjoyed the local garden and bridge clubs in which she participated. Another activity Ella thoroughly enjoyed was lunches at the Waffle Shop with her best friend Phyllis; a friendship she treasured into their late 90's.
