Obituary of Mary Lou Yanker

Mary Lou Yanker, 81, of State College, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Harmony at State College.

Born June 25, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sophia Abraham Nakles. She married Henry Yanker, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Barb Frey of Pittsburgh, and Sandy Pellegrini and her husband Dan of Oakland, CA; and two brothers, Richard Nakles of State College, and Michael Nakles of Bellevue.

Mary Lou graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1959 and from Robert Morris School of Business in 1961. She owned and operated the Office Annex in Pittsburgh.

She enjoyed her family, reading, and politics.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:00 am, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 119 S. Sparks St., State College. There will be a second visitation from 11am-12pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial Chapel, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh.

Funeral service be 10 am, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church with Father Ignatius Hunter officiating.

Graveside service and burial will be 12 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Jefferson Memorial, Pittsburgh.
