Obituary of Yvonne Alice Bloom Caldwell

Yvonne Alice Bloom Caldwell, 73, of Mount Laurel, NJ, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, with her husband by her side after a hard fought fight with cancer.

Born July 23, 1949, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Joyce Marie Bloom whom she will be laid to rest in peace beside in Centre County. She was proceeded in death by her younger brothers, Craig A. Bloom and Charles A. Bloom II.

On October 4, 1986, she married Porter Bryan Caldwell III, who survives. In addition to her husband, Yvonne is survived by her niece, Collette A. (Bloom) Snook, nephew, Carlton A. Bloom and wife Pamela, cousin, Dottie Ann Sherry, great nieces and nephews, and loyal canine companions Zack and Duncan.

Yvonne was a lover of mystery novels, genealogy, nature, all animals, and her pets. She went to the University of Kentucky completing two years. After college, she worked at RCA/GE and was meticulous with record keeping and numbers. Laid off from RCA/GE, she then made handmade teddy bears, recycling fur coats in to beautiful heirloom teddy bears.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 11-1pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA.

Funeral Service will follow the visitation on Friday at 1pm.

Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.

She will be sorely missed and her spirit will shine down on all the animals she loved.

Memorial contributions can be made in honor of Yvonne to any cause or organization that is for protecting and comforting any and all animals that she dearly loved.
