Obituary of Virginia Auman

Virginia V. Auman 85 of Lemont went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. She was born April 28, 1926 in Hazelton, PA the daughter of the late Peter and Dora Conodor Palank. She was preceded in death by her first husband Walter R. Auman and her second husband Karl W. Schmieding. Virginia is survived by two sons, Robert Auman and his wife Wendi of Lemont and Larry R. Auman of San Diego, CA. also surviving are three stepchildren, Ronald Schmieding, William Schmieding and Suzanne Schmieding, a grandson, Scott W. Auman of Palm City, FL,and her sister Anita Clauser of Naples, FL. Virginia was a graduate of Hazelton High School and was employed in clerical positions throughout her life. She had a gift of hospitality and loved to entertain friends and neighbors. She volunteered at Green Hill Nursing Home where she often led bingo for the residents. Friends will be received at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 2 until 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Koch Funeral Home on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Monsignor David Lockard officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in Elysburg following the service.
