Obituary of Gwendolyn Shade

Gwendolyn Shade, age 56, formerly of State College died peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in New York. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on March 17, 1956, the daughter of the late Tom Shade, Jr. and is survived by her mother Rosa B. Shade. She was a graduate of State College High and Wheaton College. Gwen was an educator at the prestigious Piney Woods School in Mississippi and an ordained minister. She was the founder of Perfecting Love ministries and devoted her life to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was also a member of Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport, NY. Gwendolyn is survived by one son, Jimmie D. Shade and seven siblings, Charles, Harry, Henry, Tom, Jessie, Brenda, and Tennie. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and one grand niece. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Unity Church of Jesus Christ, 140 N Gill Street State College PA.
