Obituary of William Wade II

William Eugene Wade II of State College died on Tuesday, July 31. Born January 17,1947 in Fairmont, West Virginia. William was preceded in death by his parents William Eugene Wade and Iris Sleeth Wade and his sister Barbara Warcholak. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Krause Wade of State College, beloved daughters Laura Wade of Hershey, PA and Amy June Guster, son-in-law Fredrik Guster of Rumson, NJ and three beautiful grand-daughters Mia, Emma, and Laura, several nieces and nephews and his sister Sharon Wade Kisner Vandergrift of The Villages, Florida. William was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church where he served as a Eucharist Minister and a CCD instructor, also the Knights of Columbus. He belonged to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary where he sailed at the Bald Eagle State Park. William loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing in the Burning Tee League at the Penn State Blue Course. William's life was dedicated to public service. Immediately following high school, he volunteered for the United States Marine Corp where he was deployed to Vietnam. Following his military service William enrolled at Penn State University entering the College of Education earning both baccalaureate and masters degrees. He earned a additional master's degree in Educational Administration at Lehigh University. William served as high school principal at Wellsboro High School and Tulpehocken High School. In 2007, William retired after ten years as Superintendent of Northern Bedford School District. Memorial donations can be made payable to either Penn State University: William E.
