Obituary of Charles Scheidell

Charles N. Scheidell, 82, of Port Matilda, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his residence. Born April 12, 1930, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Harry and Bessie Jane Hawthorne Scheidell. On February 12, 1955 he married Theresa Ondik, who survives. Also surviving are six children, Chuck Scheidell and his wife, Angie, of Port Matilda, Michael Scheidell and his wife, Dianne, of New Bern, North Carolina, Adam Scheidell and his wife, Shirley, of Bellefonte, Frank Scheidell and his wife, Belinda, of Pennsylvania Furnace, Terry Ann Aument and her husband, Michael, of Howard, Mary Joseph Gaborauilt of Port Matilda; Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Dale Scheidell. He was a 1948 graduate of Haddenfield High School in New Jersey. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Charles supplied Pepperidge Farm products to area grocery stores. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 867 Grays Woods Boulevard State College, with the Reverend Charles M. Amershek Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Grays Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Port Matilda Ambulance and Fire Company, PO Box 472, Port Matilda, PA 16870.
