Obituary of Mildred Demko

Mildred P. Demko, 83 passed away on February 16, 2013 at her daughter's home in Boalsburg. She was born in Bayonne, NJ on January 10, 1930. She was the loving daughter of Jean and Thomas Michalaski. Mrs. Demko resided during her life time in Bayonne, NJ, West New York, NJ, Hasbrouck Heights NJ and Cape Coral Fl before moving to Boalsburg, PA some 20 years ago. Early in her life she was a kindergarten teacher. She was an employee of Bendix/Signal Allied for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Demko was a loving, nurturing, and caring mother. She enjoyed being around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved her pet dog Lulu. She was the loving wife of the late John "Jack" Demko for 48 years before he passed away on November 23, 1998. She is also survived by a daughter Michelle Faussette and her husband David of Boalsburg, a daughter Joann Costa and her husband Vincent of Lodi, New Jersey, and her son Allan Demko and his wife Cory of Gilford, NH. Mrs. Demko has 9 grand children as well as 10 great grandchildren who loved her so dearly. She is also survived by her sister Alice Pace, Cape Coral Florida and her brother Richard Michalaski and his wife Anna of East Rutherford, New Jersey. Her brother Thomas Michalski predeceased her. Friends will be received Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, Pa 16801. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 noon in the funeral home with Monsignor David Lockard offociating. Family and friends are respectively invited to attend. Interment will be at the Centre County Memorial Park. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Demko's memory may be made to the Home Nursing Agency Health Care, 450 Windmere Drive Suite 100, State College Pa. 16827 or Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Hwy, Centre Hall Pa. 16828.
