Obituary of Billie Knepp

Billie L. Knepp, 80, of Lemont, died Saturday, February 22, 2013, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born September 26, 1932, in Lincoln, AR, she was the daughter of the late William and Virginia Blueball Smith. On June 6, 1953, she married Kenneth E. Knepp, who preceded her in death on November 20, 1982. She is survived by four children, Kendale E. Knepp and his wife, Regina, of Port Matilda, Ronald L. Knepp and his wife, Tammy, of Rebersburg, Daria J. Dixon, Kelly L. Shuey and her husband, Brian, both of Pleasant Gap; one brother, Delmer Smith and one sister, Della McKee and her husband, Coy, both of Arkansas; four grandchildren, Nicketa Young and her husband, Brett, Michael Dixon and his wife, Sally, Charmaine Dixon, Kooper Knepp; three great-grandchildren, Madyson Hockenberry, Mya Young and Matthew Dixon. Billie worked in food services and child care for many years. She was a member of Mt. Nittany United Methodist Church, the ladies auxiliary for the Pine Grove Mills VFW, the Cedarettes and the Order of the White Shrine. Visitation will be 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College and 10 until 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Mt. Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 East Branch Road, State College, and then the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Edward J. Preston officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Nittany United Methodist Church, 1500 East Branch Road, State College, PA 16801.
