Obituary of Elma Reynolds

Elma D. Reynolds, 85, of State College, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Foxdale Village, State College. Born October 14, 1927, in Weatherly, she was the daughter of the late George and Caroline Gerhard Musselman. On April 14, 1989, she married Horace B. "Jim" Reynolds, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Richard E. Hartman of Milton, Susan J. Gaertner and her husband, Gregory, of Boalsburg, Janet K. Cameron and her husband, William, of Marietta, GA.; two step-children, Deborah M. Chilson and her husband, Dennis, of Shrewsbury, CT. and Gerald K. Reynolds of New Milford, CT.; one sister, Betty J. Yaple and her husband, Harold, of Stillwater; six grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Master's degree in Education. Elma taught third grade in the Danville School District, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the church choir. She was also a member of the PA State Education Association, the National Education Association and the Nittany Lion Club. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2221 N Oak Lane, State College. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Reverend Ronald C. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2221 N Oak Lane, State College, PA 16803. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
