Obituary of David Martin

David Lee Martin 61 of State College died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his residence. Born November 9, 1949 in Pittsburgh the son of the late Homer M. and Catherine Pitschke Martin. He is survived by a son Nicholas H.Martin, his former wife and companion Sandra Lee Adams and his former wife Karen M. Hughes all of State College. He is also survived by one sister Joyce M. Rubacky and husband Andrew of Pittsburgh, and two brothers Gary M. Martin and wife Diane of Callery, and Kenneth A. Martin and wife Christine of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by niece and nephews, Christopher, Derek and Ben Martin, Andrew M Rubacky and Griffin and Delaney Martin and 2 great nephews Dakota Warner and Owen Martin. David was the owner of Martin Construction Associates; he attended the Grace Lutheran Church and was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Ruff Grouse Society and Trout Unlimited. He was a graduate of Penn State University in 1971, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6 until 9. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10 am with Rev P. Stevens Lynn, officiating. David was a kind, gentle and loving soul. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory Elementary School, 800 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801 Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
