Last week on Independence Day we thought about freedom, truth and love. When these words guide your grief journey, they help you have an authentic experience. Giving yourself the freedom to grieve and allowing yourself to feel the truth of what is going on inside is part of what it means to treat yourself with love. As Miriam Greenspan said, “To heal it you have to feel it.” It takes courage to do this, but it leads to healing.
