I think one of the most important things to remember if you’re grieving at this time of year is honor what you’re feeling. I worked with a couple who lost their infant twins. After this loss, December no longer felt like a time when they wanted to celebrate. They honored their grief and spent the holidays home together instead of travelling to see family. Have different plans ready and then honor what you’re feeling at the time.
