Her family immigrated to the United States when she was 6 months old and settled in Pen Argyl, Northampton County, PA. She attended public schools and graduated from Pen Argyl High School where she was the captain of the cheerleading squad and voted most popular girl in her graduating class of 1937 because of her happy-go-lucky ways. On September 7, 1940, Patria married Raymond Marcon in Bethlehem, PA. After her husband returned from World War II, they moved to State College, PA, in 1950 where she remained until October 2013. In State College she was an active member of The State College Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. She was also a member of Centre Hills Country Club. Patria worked for many years at the Conference Center at The Pennsylvania State University. Patria was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Esther Dennis Harris; her husband of 61 years, Raymond Marcon; her brother Dennis Harris and his wife, Marion. She was the last survivor of the Marcon and Harris sisters and brothers. Surviving her are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Harris Marcon and Pamela Moyers Marcon; her daughter and son-in-law, Denise Marcon Shrock and Robin Dale Shrock, all of Naples, FL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Matt Hagan (Michelle), Centre Hall, PA, Leah Baginski, Wappingers Falls, NY, Anthony Marcon (Sarah), Boalsburg, PA, Alex Marcon (Stephanie), Port Matilda, PA, Cory Shrock, New York, NY, Sophie Shrock Gilliam (James), Naples, FL, and Dylan Shrock, Asheville, NC; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who were very special to their Aunt Pat.
